Science is divided in three parts:
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology

1) Physics:

Image result for physics

The branch of science concerned with the nature and properties of matter and energy. The subject matter of physics includes mechanics, heat, light and other radiation, sound, electricity, magnetism, and the structure of atoms.Image result for physics

2) Chemistry:

The branch of science concerned with the substances of which matter is composed, the investigation of their properties and reactions, and the use of such reactions to form new substances.Image result for chemistry

3) Biology:

The study of living organisms, divided into many specialized fields that cover their morphology, physiology, anatomy, behaviour, origin, and distribution.
The plants and animals of a particular area.
"the biology of the Chesapeake Bay"
the physiology, behaviour, and other qualities of a particular organism or class of organisms.
"human biology"

Now we will study about some basic things of Physics:

  • Physical quantities and Measurement
  1. Measurement of Volume

The amount of space occupied by an object is called its volume. The SI unit of volume is cubic meter. The volume of liquid is usually measured in litres or millilitres

2. Measurement of Area

The amount of surface covered by a closed shape is called its area. The SI unit of area is square meter.

3. Measurement of density
The density of a substance is defined as its mass per unit volume.
The SI unit of density is g/cm*cm

Now we will discuss about states of matter.

  • Matter
Anything that has mass and occupies space is called matter.
  • States of matter

  1. Solid
A solid has a definite shape and volume. It retains its shape unless it is acted upon by an external agent such as heat or a force.
e.g. soil, sugar,a brick and etc.Image result for solid

2. Liquid

A liquid has a definite volume but no definite shape.Liquids take the shape of the container they
are poured into.
e.g. water,milk,oil and etc.

3. Gases

A gas has neither a definite shape nor definite volume. Most gases cannot be seen by naked eye.
e.g. oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and etc.Image result for gas particle

4. Plasma

Plasma is a state of matter that is often thought of as a subset of gases, but the two states behave very differently. Like gases, plasma have no fixed shape or volume, and are less dense than solids or liquids. But unlike ordinary gases, plasma is made up of atoms in which some or all of the electrons have been stripped away and positively charged nuclei, called ions, roam freely.Image result for plasma

Now we will discuss about cell:

The cell is the basic structural, functional, and biological unit of all known living organisms. A cell is the smallest unit of life that can replicate independently, and cells are often called the "building blocks of life". The study of cells is called cell biology.
Cells consist of cytoplasm enclosed within a membrane, which contains many biomolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids.Organisms can be classified as unicellular (consisting of a single cell; including bacteria) or multicellular (including plants and animals). While the number of cells in plants and animals varies from species to species, humans contain more than 10 trillion (1012) cells.[4] Most plant and animal cells are visible only under a microscope, with dimensions between 1 and 100 micrometres.Image result for cell

DEFINATION:

The intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.
